What battery to use w/DIC-20

Just wondering what those of you with the DMIC-20 use to power it?  And any recomendations?

this can power the dmic for a loooong time...like 6-8 hours me thinks!!!

bush said it, i can power my d-8 and the dmic-20 on an ecocharge bp-50 for 6-7 hrs......i ve pushed close to 8 tho.....

if you dont have enough battery does it cause the sound to start crackling? because im not sure if it was my battery or something else.

soundz like more of a batt cable issue rather than the batt... its been a problem of mine before.....

The battery I used was a thing that holds 4 D batteries and the + and - wires were connected to a cable I cut off a 6 volt AC charger.  only cost 4$ to make.

Would a bad batt cable cause the pre to display that it is powered but the recording sounds crackly sometimes or cuts out?
