DAT > CDR - optimal order of steps
« on: July 11, 2005, 01:31:08 PM »

I use CEP v2.1 to transfer DATs to my PC.  I was wondering what the preferred order is for process.  Here is what I usually do:

1. record using CEPv2.1 @ 48kHz
2. add fades at top/end
3. encode to flac for archival
4. resample WAV to 44.1kHz
5. EQ if needed
6. boost levels if needed
7. track using CDwave
8. burn

any input would be apprecaited.
thanks.

If I do any post work, I usually do that before resampling..that is pretty much always the final step before tracking.
studio projects c4 > edirol ua-5 [digi mod] > Microtrack II

laying around: sp cmc-4, power supply and jb3
