So i have searched high and lo for info on the true connector for the Edriol products like the UA-5.
yes the rat shack has dc connector but there designed to mate up with a split center pin on the male side which creates a solid connection.
the EIAJ (electronics industry association of japan )type has a solid center pin and needs a female compression connector (cord Side) with the compression tines inside itself, creating the tight connection u want.
here she is and in a 90 degree config too.

fwiw, I use rat shack connectors and have never had a problem. Have you discovered any actual problems with running the rat shack connectors? Is there a real advantage to using these connectors you've found?
