what's the easist way to record off of sirius radio?
« on: February 14, 2006, 04:40:39 PM »
kid rock is going to be on a radio show and I'd like to get a buddy of mine to tape it, but I don't really have any idea how you'd record it, or what would be the best way to do so. I thought about just getting a regular old tape recorder and hitting record on it with a blank tape, but I didn't know if the sound would be really crappy with that or what.

just stream it on your computer and use an app like audio hijack to make a quicktime file.  or the less fancy way, stream it on your computer and use a stereo mini cable to run audio out to mic in (set to line in in preferences) and capture in audacity or sound studio or whatever app you use.

I hope that made sense.

DOH!

sorry for the bad advice bro...

with that said, I'd have to say line out from whatever stand alone system you are using (boom box, home dock, component reciever) into the line in on your 'puter just like my first (albiet wrong) suggestion.

yup... and it angers me immensely.    >:(
Tickets are dead to me.  Except the ones I have, don't have, and lost.  Not to mention the ones you have, don't have, and lost.   And the ones that other dude has, doesn't have, and lost.  Let me know if you need some tickets, I'm happy to oblige.
