Just installed new hd/fixed my jb3
« on: March 22, 2006, 04:44:56 PM »
The hard drive on my jb3 failed about a year ago. Last week I picked up a 40gb seagate hd for $40 on ebay. It came today. It was really easy to install (even though i was quite nervous trying not to break anything) and it works perfect. I can actually go to shows and tape again. Anyways just thought I'd share the accomplishment.

The hard drive on jb3 failed so i'm going to attempt to replace. Does it matter what physical size hard drive i get 9mm or 9.5mm?

If my memory serves me corectly you can pick up any car carger that has the connection for 4.5V or 5V to charge the JB3.  Possibly at radio shack??

From the JB3 FAQ's:
-
[155] What size DC external power plug does the JB3 use?  What polarity to use for wiring?

Outer Diameter:  4.0mm / Inner Diameter:  1.7mm
Radio Shack Adaptaplug B
Tip (+), Ring (-)
