New pictures of the N>TRANS have been posted on Maycom's website.

Assembly of the cards had been delayed. Looking forward to making a version of Live2496 for it.
It will be equivalent to CD in terms of S/N. I also plan to implement flac. Monitoring will be different as this will be handled by the hardware (ie. less latency).

Yes it would possibly power the schempz but think if the battery drain on a PDA for that to happen.

No digital in. You would have to use PDAudio for that.

Lemo connector has inputs for balanced cabling.
