Ripping CD > FLAC
« on: May 11, 2006, 08:35:33 AM »
I'm moving a bunch of my collection onto HD.  Right now, I'm running EAC > WAV > FLAC Frontend > FLAC.  Is there a program that allows me to convert CD > FLAC directly?  Or is there a way to make EAC do it that I don't know about?

dBpoweramp will do this natively, however it will not be an exact audio copy.
SP LSD2 > bm2 UA-5 (coax out) > M-Audio Microtrack
SP LSD2 > bm2 UA-5 > MacBook Pro

dbpoweramp does have the "accurite rip" feture.  not sure how acurite it is but I use it to rip studio disc to mp3 and it works great.  it'll tag for you which is very nice.
