Topic: Good onstage recording stand?

Did some searches and trying to find a good onstage stand. Some post went for the Sam Ash/Guitar center stand. But I we talking about a stand like this http://www.activemusician.com/item--MC.AMS603.

Could desk top stand do the trick?

Depending on the band and how they setup...

I've had good luck with some clips that screw on to the vocalists/guitarists mic stands...

Not good for bands that jump around - but works nicely for 2 guitar bands that set up somewhat semetrically...

That's a nice looking stand for a good price.

I use a small kickdrum stand, "onstage" adjustable posilock angle adjuster, and extensions.

Mine is the furthest out of the onstage cluster, with the blue band on the leg. the other mics are for sound support, mine are for recording, and, slightly more distant for ambience.

Do you weight your stand Moke?

I really like the kickdrum mic type stand like Moke pictured. Low Profile, stable, and not too difficult to squeeze in amongst all the stage gear.

what are the benefits of putting mics on stage?  wouldnt the mix be all screwed up?
