mp3 sourced?
« on: September 04, 2006, 11:03:34 PM »
Ok, so I'm an idiot and grabbed the wrong CF card for my R1 this past weekend.  As a result, I had to record a show in 320kbps MP3 format.  What's the best work flow?   In order to use CDWav, I need to convert to wav.  I also need to fix a dropout in the right channel.  I would normally do this in adobe audition.  Would it be best to go mp3 -> AA (save as wav) -> CDWav -> ??    Do I want to save it as a flac, or go back to mp3?   Any suggestions appreciated.

Re-encoding to mp3 will likely make it even more lossy.  If you're going to keep it, I'd say to go mp3>wav>flac.

never reencode an mp3.  It will just degrade the quailty even further

go flac
