will be joining the active team this week and wanted to put out a request for any tips/tricks/do/don'ts for using the kwon bar and kc5 cables. thanks for your input!

When inserting the cables into the slots, place the cable at a 90 degree angle relative to the bar and push it in that way.  It reduces wear and tear on the cable.  Oh yeah, a Shure A53M doughnut works well as a shock mount and is even more lo-pro than an A20. 

The paint around the collar on the active collette will wear over time, that is par for the course.

do the cables "snap" into place?

Actually the collette connector will slide into a slot on the end of the bar, a pretty tight fit too.
