I thought film industry standard is 24/48. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
24 or 16 is fine. To them it's not the bit depth or sample rate they worry so much about as is the time code. Depending on the camera and media the sample rate can be 32 KHz, 44100 KHz, 48000 KHz, 48048 KHz at either 16- or 24-bit. Where it really matters to them is time code, for that they tend to use: 23.96, 24,25, 29.97, 29.97DF, 30, or 30DF (all fps). DF means drop frame.
