Topic: UK tapers shops?

Hi there, folks. Just wondering if any of our fine UK-based tapers know of anywhere reliable to get their kit based in the UK? I've been looking around and, aside from a few audio retailers, there doesn't seem to be anywhere caterng specifically to the taping community.

I have no problem ordering stuff from abroad, but it would make life a whole lot easier not being at the beck and call of the Customs men.

Any suggestions?

i dont know if web shop might do for you, but  www.turkney.co.uk seems to be very reliable. at least for the prices around islands.

If you know what gear you want, check out the manufacturers list of stockists / distributors. When I bought my MT2496 I went on the m-audio website and found that one of the shops in town carried it (digital village, cambridge) so I picked one up on my way to work the next morning.

It's also my experience that many music shops carry audio technica mics, not the models we'd be interested in, but I'm sure they would order them if you asked.
