Mounting DIY T-Bar for CA cards to Dynatran stand
« on: July 20, 2007, 10:33:32 AM »
Does anyone have any advice for mounting a DIY PVC CA cards mic mount on a Dynatran 806A? Could you mount your PVC stand to a 8-12" piece of PVC that would slide onto the stand? Any suggestions would help. rWc3523

Check the other threads on this topic.  Some guys have pictures of their's in a shockmount, which would screw right on the stand.

My concern was that someone mentioned the dynatran light stand has a stud mount, not a screw mount. rWc3523

I have an 806A, and it is threaded.  It's just smaller than your std shock thread, maybe 1/4", I had to use two threaded adapters to get it up to 5/8".

1/4-20 to 5/8   this is the adapter you need. you can order it here...http://micsupply.com/standaccessories.htm

i suggest reading this entire website and looking over the various vendors sites. everything you are looking for has been discussed at length here. the search feature can be your friend.
