I use foobar with the live show tagger plugin to tag shows

if I ever need to reseed a show I just add the directory in foobar, right click on the files and hit remove tags

takes about 3 seconds to do each of these

was just gonna post this,

you could also convert FLAC > WAV > FLAC and will have your original FLAC files to match your md5s

this is part of the reason im really glad ive done ffp and md5 for each file

as far as checking ffp files, the easiest way ive found is to use Traders Little Helper

I tried flac > wav > flac to remove tags and see if it worked and for some reason it failed. maybe I screwed something up.

I think I'm okay with using a tool to remove the tags if a reseed is needed so I think media monkey will work for my needs. thanks for all the help guys.

if you originally re-encode with a different version of FLAC than you originally encoded with, the new FLAC files won't pass the original md5.  There have been many updates to FLAC within the past year, so that's probably where your problem is (FLAC v1.2.1 is the most current).
