Stand for Sound Professional Binaural or cardioid mics
« on: December 28, 2007, 12:56:20 AM »
Hi people.
I have one question about stand.

I have made some recordings with Macbook and Sound Professional mics.
All the times was or on my t-shirt or on the wall (with tape).

Now, I just bought one edirol R-09. Finally.

I need some help about stand for this kind of mics. Really don't like people talking and/or screaming on my recordings. ;-)

Actually, I have (thanks Boa):

And on the way:

What kind of stands you recomend for this kind of mics?

Or any other help?

Thanks
Anderson

Sound Professionals has this T-mount for mini mics:

Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I think it would work for your mini's.

There are some very inexpensive stands on ebay.  Search for dynatran 806A - this goes up to 8.5 ft.  The vendor I usually see them under is amvona.com.  There is also another vendor - romaphoto - that has 7 ft. stands for less than $15 shipped and 8.5 ft stands for less than $20 shipped.  I'm not affiliated with either vendor.  They are inexpensive stands, but a good place to start out.

Also, I run my Church Audio cardioids mounted in Tensimounts on a standard t bar.

If I hadn't gone this route, I was going to get the Sound Professionals mount that was already recommended.

Hello Anderson!

I believe Anderson is responsible for designing the official Black Crowes website, and very nice it was too (hope it comes back!)

Here's a cheap, fast option:

Light stand with scrap piece of plastic / ruler with hole drilled in the middle (adds a little bit of shock mounting), plus Mic Supply adaptor to screw it to the stand.

Means you get to choose the positioning of the mics (unlike the daft fool above, who has it way too spaced out  ;D  )
UK based taper: MK4>Nbox Platinum>PCM-M10
AT853C or AT831>CA9100/9200>Tascam DR-2D
