Would This Mic Lower the Edirol Hiss?

Would this microphone be a good choice for my Edirol R-09 in order to reduce the unit's general level of hiss?:

A very kind and generous forum person has graciously agreed to lend me a Church 9000 pre-amp, so I will soon see.
