best t-Bar for multiple config. options???

I'm looking at getting one of these stereo bars, but is that center threaded hole 5/8"?  it looks small, like a 3/8" size...
So you'd need an adapter to mount it on a standard mic stand?

I find the standard K&M 23550 Stereo Bar perfect for most uses.

It's adjustable from 60 to 172mm.

And it's cheap and light.
