I wish I saw this site before I bought by Etirol R-09 on ebay, but reading all the problems with the poor build quality on the R-09 (and I have to say I was just shocked at how cheaply this thing was built when I first took it out of the box), especially with the line-in/mic-in jack problems I've been reading about. Anyone recommend selling it and getting the Olympus LS-10 instead? Sounds like it is a pretty solid device. Thanks for any suggestions.
In my opinion, you should hold on to the R09 for a bit. The Edirol has many adherents here; most people really like them, they sound good, and they have been comprehensively field tested. And that jack issue is pretty easy to fix. I haven't seen much about how the Olympus sounds, especially with external mics, although the few things I have read say that the layout/build is nice. If I were you, I'd wait to see how the reviews are on the Olympus. You can always sell the R09 in the Yard Sale. Also some shops will let you return a recorder within a trial window, so maybe you could do that and compare them.
I am sure some R09 owners will chime in.
People say the Zoom has bad build quality too which has kept me from getting it. How about that Marantz recorder?
There is a thread on the Marantz here:

EDIT: I also have the H2, and I think it is pretty cool for what it is, but I would definitely prefer either the Marantz or the R09 over it.
