I use a mini XLR installed in the capsule to allow the cables to detach. I also use van den Hul internal wiring in these now with this mod. You will have plenty of gain like this you just need to supply them with 9v each or close to it. The cable length I have used is up to 15 feet with no problems with signal degredation.
