AGC is for recording meetings.  Cardioids are harder to windproof that omni's.  But that foam cover is what is needed.  Do not leave home without them.   8)

Hear hear!  I taped an outdoor jazz festival in July and it was just ruined by wind noise.  I made a bit of a last-ditch effort to windscreen my KE4's with my hands.  And the stink of it was I know 2 of the backing musicians personally from other shows as well as I've taped both of their other projects.  Anyways, illconditioned is putting together a mod for my hat to prevent wind noise at future outdoor shows.
