crackmc, no--ADK isn't an Austrian company; it's in Beaverton, Oregon. There's no way it could have originated in any German-speaking country. The original name was "Audio Deutch Kraft" and I remember seeing them at some trade shows under that banner.

But you can tell that no Germans or Austrians were involved since (a) the word is "deutsch," not "Deutch" as any German-speaking person would know, and (b) "Kraft" doesn't mean "craft" or "skill" in German--it means power, which gives a rather ominous meaning to the name.

No wonder they just call it "ADK" nowadays.
