M222 vs. M221B Size Comparison
« on: February 27, 2009, 08:54:32 PM »
Got one of two, hope to have the second M221B next week.  M221B is noticeably smaller.

They're not both 20 mm in diameter?

Both are 20mm in diameter.

It's just shorter.

With a mk22 (original mk22 not the new one that came out last year) cap on the m221b it is about the same length as the m222/cmcX body.

I think the length of the innards (circuits) are the same size (i.e. the tube around the components) and the difference is XLR vs the Tunchel connector.

Nice!  Can't wait to hear those M221 B's >:D

Now all you need is a 4 channel recorder so you can run M222>NT222 +M221 B>Custom Grace>R-44/744t
Mics: Schoeps MK4>KCY (with MK41/MK21/MK8's on call)
Pre:  Schoeps VMS02ib
Interconnects:  Kimber Kable
Recorder:  Korg Mr-1

Actually I was thinking:
M222>NT222>MR-1
M221 B>Custom Grace>MR-1
