DC offset possible in one channel but not the other?
« on: August 10, 2009, 12:09:57 AM »
Just recorded a show on Saturday where the right channel is peaking perfectly above the zero line, but below it, it never crosses the -6 line. Left channel, however, looks more or less symmetrical around the zero axis. Any ideas what might cause this? See image below...

Running Neumann KM150's>V2>ADC-20>Microtrack if it makes a difference, powered with a fully-charged 6v/7.2ah eco-charge that I'd used the night before with no adverse affects in the waveform. This was a fairly windy outdoor show on the Portland waterfront; the right side was open to the water while the left side was blocked off by a giant warehouse, not sure if that might be a factor.

yes, often times one channel is offset and the other is not. DC correct will pull it to center without messing up the one that is ok.
