Sony Vegas Help Please

Ok I am trying to install Sony Vegas I get a message that pops up the  I need to install:

Windows XP service Pack 2 Update Information
You must install this service pack to complete installation Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 requires that this service pack to be installed prior to installation.

Can someone please helpme because I cant seem to get it. Must be slow.

Did you try going to Microsoft's website and searching for, finding, downloading, and installing service pack 2?
