Mic Identification?
« on: December 30, 2009, 05:48:14 PM »
I've seen these in several pictures of radio DJ's/talk show hosts or even when a band is doing an radio on air/in studio gig.  What is the mic in this pic?  I've scrolled though some catalogs, but have not found it...

ElectroVoice RE20.

FYI, your link has an extra "r" at the end of it, causing an error in finding the page.

I used to have some Panic tapes from the late nineties that were recorded with a pair of EV RE20.

I've used em for guitar cabinets and kick drum. Sounded great. Could take pretty high SPL for a "voiceover" mic.
