Don't forget to calibrate azimuth for each cassette / side played back. While not all decks have an external azimuth adjustment knob, most that I've seen have an adjustment screw easily accessible by removing the cassette door.

into my PCM-D50 at 24/48.

Is that a Sony unit?  It may have a SBM-1 A>D in it.  Or is the SBM1 20 bit?

It is a Sony unit but I don't know which A>D it has in it.  The transfers sound true to the original and I've been happy with them.
