i love my bsc1's. they have never really let me down. but you need to listen for yourself. there should be plenty of shows with both mics as sources for general comp listening too. one plus is that the bsc1 comes with all its caps, where peluso you have to buy them separately. and both have said to be making active cables, but which comes first we will see :P

And, yes, I know I suck about getting stuff circulated.  ;)

Bought a pair of BSC1's about 2 yrs ago.  I think they are great mics for the price with a nice balance of low/mid/highs.  To me, the Peluso's sound a bit brighter overall.  I've only used the hyper's a few times and their nice as well.  If I did it over,  I might do Peluso's as I simply like what I've heard from these mics over the yrs and they appear to sound brighter to me.  That being said,  I'm totally satisfied with the BSC1's and can't imagine not keeping them in the arsenal.  Solid mics.

This is very much one of those "chocolate versus vanilla" things... if you ask a bunch of people what kind of ice cream to buy they will give you their opinions, but that reflects their preferences, not your own.  Listen to a ton of shows on the archive, and decide what YOU like.

I had a set of Peluso's for a while.  The subcards sounded great.   The cards didn't really give me what I was looking for.

Used AKG390's are in the similar price range and worthy of consideration, especially the hyper caps.

I listened to samples, but wanted to hear a few opinions!!  I found a set of Peluso on ebay for a pretty good price, but had planned on buying some Busmans when he had them back in stock.  Wanted some actives, but they cost more than I am willing to spend.  Thanks for the feedback.
