Hi, I need to tape a loud outdoor concert, and I don't have extra $ for gear... Here's what I have: a sony camcorder (obviously sound is totally unusable with the built-in mike), an olympus LS-11, and a sweet vintage condenser mike (AKG c422) which needs phantom power. I've been told that maybe my best option is to try to scrape together $70 (I'm so broke at the moment!!) and get something like the sony ECM-MSD1 Gun Zoom Microphone. But since I already have this great condenser mike that's used for concert recording, can I maybe just pick up some kind of external phantom power supply and go from the mike to the power supply to either the LS-11 or directly into my camcorder? There's going to be heavy bass at times. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
ps. I realize it might be sacrilege to use such a beautiful mike in this manner, but that's my situation right now, very expensive mike, and no gear to go with it, at home I use it with Pro Tools and a board, but I can't lug that with me, I need something portable.
Thanks!
