NAK CM300 / CP4 mic mounts
« on: June 29, 2010, 11:08:38 PM »
Any recommendations for mic mounts for the nak shotguns......  I want something solid.  Its doesn't need to be a shock mount...  I have a ratshack spring clip...just doesn't have enough  closing power to hold the mic securely.  I have a set of AT shocks but want something smaller....

I seem to recall I always ran mine with the stock Nakamichi mic clips that came with the CM300s (?)

Thats just it...I don't have the stock clips....so I was wondering what others use...outside of the stock clips....Maybe I should have been a little more clear about that....sorry

I've used my cp4's with all sorts of clips and shockmounts.  Even the at8041 (?) shocks...they're heavy microphones especially with a bulky XLR connector too.  But it's really all in the strain relief that you provide by zip tying or taping the excess cable so you don't stress the shcokmount too much.  It's a balancing act, but not too hard to figure out.

Shockproof mic clips.  made of rubber.  Held the CP4's just fine.  They're on eBay for $20.00 a set.
