Would this do the trick? The mics are a bit short in shock mounts.

I assume that the "straight through wiring" is what I need, vs. others that have phase reversal or are "hum stoppers."

Yes, that will do the trick, but I have to think there is a better option.
Could you take a picture of your setup? What type of shockmount? Is it designed for a shotgun mic?

what kind of shock mounts re you using?
dont use the adaptor... get new shocks
the nady shocks are small and compact, if 20mm is to large then use some self adhesive wheatherstrip faom so th emics fit snug
they are reasonably priced
