Tekkeon 3450 Problem, USB works but NOT power output?

My tekkeon 3450 is not powering from the power port but powers from the USB port.  Anyone ever run into this?  I drained it dry and recharged it thinking that would do the trick but nada.  Is there a reset of some kind?

I had something similar. When you recharge it, the red/green light goes on (mine did)?

I basically had to send it back to Tekkeon and get a replacement. Even though it was out of warranty, they still honored it.

I don't own either of the devices and am just a casual observer, but from what I've read on this forum does the Tekkeon 3450 have as many issues as the Tascam DR-680?  I know they serve different purposes, but some might also argue that the Tekkeon could be/is the root of a particular issue with the DR-680.
