Topic: Double-sided 1/4"-20 screw - Does this exist?

I'm looking for something like this:

...but where both ends have the 1/4"-20 screw.

Coming up empty. Does something like this even exist?

Yep.  Besides epoxy, Loctite red is specifically designed for thread-locking nuts strongly, or you can forgo any 'thread glue' and simply jam-lock two or more nuts together with or without a lock-washer.  If you aren't into cutting and grinding the ends of all-thread rod yourself, good bolt/fastener supply places carry threaded studs in various sizes, pre-cut to about that length with nicely camfered ends so the threads work well and look clean.  Though it probably won't mater for your use, they typicaly have a female hex fitting in one end, designed for installing them in threaded holes with an allen wrench.

I have to ask the dumb question... what would you use it for??  I can't imagine.  If you don't need it to fit into a superclamp, then yes, the threaded rod is ideal.  If you need it to hook into a superclamp, then probably not.

If it were me... having a welder and no patience... I'd weld a 1/4 bolt to a 3/8" nut and screw it onto the 3/8" stud.

If you really need the stud and have to have 1/4x20 on each end you could always take the stud you linked to a machine shop and have them rethread the 3/8 to 1/4. Depending on the shop they may do it for nothing or could charge you more than any of the other options already mentioned.

That would be a cut thread, and cut threads tend to be weak and prone to cracking at the root.  Especially in a smaller size like 1/4-20. Bolts and such are rolled threads; the material is displaced under extreme pressure to form the thread, not cut away.

Though I don't have a manfrotto example in front of me, so I can't say for certain whether the manfrotto stud threads are formed or cut.

To Joe's question - basically want to attach an M10 and a camera, without the added bulk of a grip mount, etc.
