Yep. Besides epoxy, Loctite red is specifically designed for thread-locking nuts strongly, or you can forgo any 'thread glue' and simply jam-lock two or more nuts together with or without a lock-washer. If you aren't into cutting and grinding the ends of all-thread rod yourself, good bolt/fastener supply places carry threaded studs in various sizes, pre-cut to about that length with nicely camfered ends so the threads work well and look clean. Though it probably won't mater for your use, they typicaly have a female hex fitting in one end, designed for installing them in threaded holes with an allen wrench.
