Busman BSC1's caps question
« on: December 05, 2010, 08:12:13 PM »
Hi everybody, I got a set of Busmans BSC1's. I had to sent one set of cap's back to Busman as one of the cap's didn't work. When Chris emailed me he sent that the cap's were the Subcard's. Which confused me because I had sent him the cap's with the heart "cardiod'' engraving. He also said that the cap's with the slanted opens are the cardiod cap's. So I'm a little confused, my first set of "real'' mic's so forgive my ignorance. Could somebody match these cap's with a K1 K2 K3 K4? Thanks again you guys are awesome!!

grill = cards is how I remember to tell the sub cards and cards apart.
Busman Audio BSC1-K1/K2/K3/K4 > HiHo Silver XLR's > Deck TBD

CA-14 (c,o)/MM-HLSC-1 (4.7k mod)/AT853(4.7k mod)(c,o,h,sc)/CAFS (o)/CA-1 (o) > CA-9100 (V. 4.1)/CA-9200/CA-UBB > Sony PCM-D50/Sony PCM-M10

though that only works on the newer sets. if you own some of the older production runs they don't have grills.
But if you have the grills that is great way to remember.

The set I recently purchased from rodeen has two heart-shaped caps - one is engraved much deeper and has a slightly bigger heart; I would post a pic right now but on my way to tape Lions Of Hazelwood at the precise moment (going hypers) and was wondering if it may be the wide-angled card??
