Sontronics bump (opinon inside)

After listening over the couple days of a run with the STC-1S, hearing the difference of what I currently run (C4s) wasn't over the top...until of all things running the recording to my patio atrium outdoor speakers, I thought things were a little so so.  Damn if there wasn't a HUGE noticeable difference.  Compared to what I considered the best capture I had so far (same venue, same spot), the sontronic recording really shines against the C4 recording.  Good thing the wife was there to notice as well.  I am worried a bit about the pairing with an Ad20 with its minimum +16 gain.  Sontronics seemed to be much more sensitive, but that is only a good thing.  So I had to let the wife know that I would also be inline for a new all in one box or at least a new pre as well.  I *heart* wife.
