Anyone good with EQ/multi-band compression?
« on: April 05, 2004, 11:05:18 AM »
I have a tape I'm trying to "salvage"...not that it's terrible, but I got a ton of resonance in the 120-350Hz range that I'm trying to eliminate.  Gives it way too much "large-room" sound and is quite overwhelming.  I'm trying to use Waves C4 to compress it, but I don't seem to be able to nail it down.  Anyone care to take a sample and see what they can do with it?

I'd greatly appreciate it :)

I think you might be better off with EQ. Expessially if your not getting a good result with the C4.

Well, I am getting a decent result with C4.  I just am not incredibly familiar with the plugin, and am not necessarily good at choosing the crossover points, etc.    Thought maybe if there was an "expert", I could hear how my attempt compared, and hopefully learn something.

Worked on it some more last night, and I think i'm pretty happy with it.  Nice thing about C4 is it works as an EQ as well :)
