I'd grab AT853's over CMC-8's, personally.  Much fuller sound.  Compared to the CA-14's, the CMC-8's are thinner sounding.  I don't think I'm alone in saying this, either.

The 4.7 mod is also a must. My mics perform much better after the mod.
