AT853's: what mount do you use?

Here's some shots I took with my 6 yr old AT853s in a DIN Kwonbar.

Which part of the 853 fits into the Kwonbar? Does it clip to the fat part of the cable (where it attaches to the body of the mic) or the actual body of the mic itself?

Also, are those the SoundPro version of the 853 with the smaller body and the adapter to use the bigger AT capsules or are they the original AT mics? Thanks.

Its not the cable but the end of the mic body that slides into the groove cut in the bar. I never figured out the SP models, they're f'ing confusing! Anyway, I think what I have might be the 933 bodies with 853 caps.

can anyone tell me what type of thread adapter I would need to get that tensimount onto a bogen stand?  Or is an adapter even necessary?  That looks like a cheap and adequate solution for providing shock resistance to my soundpro tbar and 853s

Here's some shots I took with my 6 yr old AT853s in a DIN Kwonbar. I've only had this bar for a week so I've not recorded anything with this set as I probably never will (bought the bar for my SKM-140s):

I did this same exact thing the other night.  I basically took a ~20cm piece of 3/4" PVC and cut two 45* angles on the ends.  I cut two holes in the ends for the mics to go through the 'back' and face out 90 degrees at roughly 20cm apart.  I also spray painted the PVC black.  It looks real nice.  Now I just need to some cable extensions to get `em up in the air.

How do you keep the bar from rotating in the mounts? It it that tight of a fit that it just doesn't swivel?

The Kwon bar has a small, circular grooves that's bore on top and bottom of the "fork". This allows you to slide the base of the AT mics and Neumann KM100 caps to fit snug.

Ok, here's some that I took with my "state of the art" Logitech computer cam.  Sorry if they're grainy.
You'll notice that there's nothing actually holding the mics in the bar.  The 3/4" PVC holds the large AT windscreens with a nice snug fit...you could use a tiny bit of tape on the back to secure an angle or improvise otherwise.  I basically sawed 45~ degree angles on the ends of a 20cm pipe (that I found outside left from the apt maintenance guys...Go team Ghetto!)  Then I took a dremel tool and made the oval shaped holes on the back.*  I suggest using a pencil to plot out the lines/holes to cut.  Once that was done I used the dremel sander to 'soften' all the edges.  From there, covered in flat black spray paint.  Fits perfectly in the AT8410.

* - You might wonder at what distance from the end did I cut these holes.  Once the 45 degree angles were cut I set the mics on top (to see an aerial view of the bar with the mics set where they would be if the holes were cut).  I could then move the mics left/right until they were ~20cm away from each other.  I marked the spots on the "back" of the bar to cut(the long ends; angles facing band).

Yeah, in that picture the angle is closer to 100-110* than 90.  But the neat thing about the 'snug' fit is that you can move them around and they will (more or less) stay put.  So for FOB I could widen the angle a bit more than usual(depending on how close) and I can close the angle accordingly if I'm further back.  You could even cut two sets of holes (with a long piece of PVC of course) so you could do either DIN or NOS.  It's a pretty good substitute for the retail DIN bars for someone who would rather spend that $100 on other equipment.
