Just received my SX-M2D2 today and going to record with it in two days. I read all 14 pages of this thread and the following questions weren't addressed. The manual isn't very clear on these questions either, if they're even addressed.
So, under the category of 'no question is a dumb question', when using a USB cable and recording to an iphone via the agogee metarecorder app, is that recording an AES digital recording?
When I connect the M2D2 to the iphone and open the metarecorder app, does the app recognize the connection (ie option to choose the internal iphone mic or the preamp) or do I need to do some kind of setup in either the M2D2 menu or the metarecoder app settings?
Final possibly dumb question is where does metarecorder put the recorded file on my iphone? Also, after connecting my iphone to my laptop, how do I navigate to get the recorded file transferred to my computer, since IIRC you can't just plug in an iphone and navigate the iphone's file directory.
For what it's worth, I'm using an iphone 17, so it has a USB-C input and don't need to futz around with a lightning cable.
Thanks in advance, genius's.
Steve
