Need to run the mics pretty far away from the recorder and the PFA's would be in the middle of that run. They are on the end of a 12 footers and would have 16 footers running from there to the recorder.

Absolutely AOK. Done this many times. I would suspect longer than 100' may add some slight line impedance. But nothing PFA related.

I run a set of 18' xlr's from my PFA's all the time. Zero issues.

I've run my PFAs a hundred feet or more with no problems.
