Topic: How would you edit this (fairly poor) urban recording in REAPER?

Hello everybody

I am having fun trying to learn REAPER for my field recordings and thought I should ask for ideas on how other people who are more knowledgeable than I am would edit this recording.

I recorded it from a third-floor window using 2x Rode NT5 (cardioids, L&R) and 2x Immersive Soundscape Thumbs (omni, L&R). Each L and R pair of mics pointed roughly 50-60 degrees left and right, respectively. The file is a FLAC with a four-channel track so for editing it would need to be split into separate tracks (rendered it this way to get a 99MB file instead of the 1GB WAV).

The street is narrow and flanked by stone buildings 5-6 storeys high, which messes with the sound a lot. There were a few open bars below and quite a bit of traffic in the vicinity. In my attempts to improve the recording, I've played around with reaEQ mainly to try to reduce the traffic and reverberations caused by the stone buildings but I'm not very good at it, hence my post here.

So in case anyone would like to have a go I'd be very eager to learn from you about how to achieve a cleaner-sounding/clearer recording.

RX7 or its newest version is the best way to start to remove unwanted objects.

I use Reaper mainly for mixing multiple channels and some modifications using their plug ins like high pass low pass compression and the like.
