Had to happen... small enough to fit in the pocket of some baggy pants... as the worlds most expensive MP3 player I think there's good reason it won't recognize the format but that's just a guess based on specuation and grounded on nothing other than it's not a toy.
I don't have the time to explain to you why mike's comment was funny and that comment was asinine. But I do appreciate the insightful commentary based on speculation and grounded on nothing. Thats always helpful.
FWIW, there are quite a few lecture series that are released in mp3 format only. If I could have accessed the material while I as traveling, I could have covered the material last week. The 722 is advertised to support the format, it should work as advertised.
Perhaps the 722 is intolerant of some encoding options used for this material. Hopefully someone with a 7xx will have tried this and can share comments based on trial and grounded on empiricism.
