I'm looking for a long lasting, reliable stand to work with.  I'm willing to spend the money on this, but I wanted to get some feedback first.  Any other suggestions would be great too.  Thanks guys.

A general rule of thumb is not to spend more on your stand than you did on your mics!  ;)
KM 184 > V2 > R4

i think i got my stand from the jandkgroup store on ebay if memory serves me right for less than $50

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

something tells me you won't be running in big places and will never need to go near 13' with the giant squids, so...

p.s. if you do go anywhere near 13' (or probably more than 5' lol) you're going to need a cable to lengthen the giant squids to get them to wherever they're going. don't overlook that :)
