every time I turn the play center on, it says "the play center has encountered a problem and needs to close..." "send error report" dont send error report"
wtf???

just from opening it, or when you're transferring?

might wanna reinstall play center and the drivers.  it sounds like it mighta not installed right.  also, update playcenter if you get the chance, the new version of it is a lot more user friendly.  drag and drop, easier copying.

It sure did. I also discovered that media source is much better. Easier interface, more dependable, etc. thanks bean., and spechul ed. That was exactly the problem. +T for the info.

i also discovered that all i need from the us.creative.com downloads section is apps 2, and 3 and driver #1.

i don't think my version is even called playcenter anymore.  when i plug in my jb3 it shows up as another hdd.  super easy.  only, when i transfer the files to my f drive instead of my c drive, it'll transfer to c anyway, then copy them over to f, leaving the files still on c, kind of annoying.
