HELP! Need info on Sony 7-pin connector to Toslink Digital input

I guess I am getting to be an antique.   I have a very functional Sony  TCD-D100 DAT machine, which I suppose, is now obsolete.  I just made some nice recordings on it and was planning on taking it out of town with me.  I want to transfer the data in digital format to my MAC G5, which takes an optical, digital Toslink input, I believe.

I have been surfing the net and can not find anything on this part.  Is the thing totally extinct?  what do people suggest.

This appears to be an arcane question.
