I bought a b-stock AK20 a while back.  Full warranty, pristine condition.  If  you are getting your set from the same place, I would not hesitate for one second.

My dmic is a B stock.  Purchased 98 or 99, never had a single problem.  In fact, I can't even remember why it was a B stock in the first place.  As mentioned above, check the warranty situation and if that seems ok, go for it.

So is approximately $1400 a good price for B-stock Neumann KM 140's?

If they are new and include LC3 active cables, that's a very nice price.  No actives, not so great.

Used sets of 140's with actives go for $1400-$1600 around here.
