Scott--have you used this program a lot?  Just curious as to how people like it.  I'm thinking about trying it for simple stuff....

Does it work with external hardware, like my Digi001?  ie. Could I use it for DAT>computer x-fers?

i used to use it to split tracks on 24 bit material before i found spark.  i haven't used it in a while though. 

i just emailed the developer and already got a response back.  The app reads flac files natively (it doesn't convert to aiff or wav first), and uses core audio.  So that pretty much means that you can play 24/96 flac files from within this program and get the full resolution

i'm going to test tonight.

part of my test will be to see how it likes playing with the ULN-2.  in the version i used (over a year ago) it only saw channels 1 and 2.  I'll report back how it works now

Another FLAC player?  No.  However using an audio editor simply for playback is what I'd call bloat.

Hopefully Quicktime in 10.4 (including that flac component) will fix all the problems with flac playback in X.
