old sound professionals battery box question/problem
« on: February 05, 2005, 02:58:48 AM »
I have the SP-CMC-4 mics, an older model/version that doesn't come with the bodies that have the clips.   The cord terminates in an unfamiliiar to me screw-on 6-pin connection that has the normal 1/8" jack on a separate cable comming out of it.   I assume it's an SP model battery box also, but I've never seen the exact model for sale, so I'm not 100 percent positive anymore on what it is.

I've been having problems recently with my mics and/or the battery box so I'm looking to replace the battery box if possible.   If they're no longer selling those particular models (and I can't find 'em) anywhere, would it be cool to just get a new battery box and let the weird 6-pin connection hang loose, or would I just be better off getting new bodies/cables and swapping my current caps in new bodies?

things have been distorting when they shouldn't be distorting, so my first assumption is the battery box.  If i'm way off base here someone point me in the right direction please. :)

Do you have fresh batteries in the battery box?
