Care and feeding of microphones
« on: April 07, 2005, 09:44:36 PM »
Hi!

Just wondering if there are any things one is supposed to do to look after mics properly ... I've added the CMC8s (very happy with them) to my rig and just want to treat 'em right!

I keep my gear in a zip-up bag (it was an old cassette-player bag - 2 zipper compartments, small, lightly padded).  I have the mics clipped inside one compartment, and the iRIver is in the other - I cut a hole to run the cable between.

For my "in the house" stealth rig I do something similar but with in a handbag, running the wires from preamp---->jb3 through holes cut in the linings.

Tx :)
