safari bug? need advice...

ok so i'm looking threw my bookmark pages tonite and all of the sudden from the bottom to the top all my favorites vanish, at first i thought it wasn't a problem (happened about 2 months ago), but this is the second time it has happened, do i have a virus or bug, please help if you can

No idea.  You may want to post here:

They seem to be down right now but you wont find a better place to get help.  Just be sure to be VERY detailed about what you were doing (and do it in the right forum, in your case the Software forum).  But at least know that you DO NOT have a virus, right now there are no viruses on the mac.

Oh and if I were you I'd enable the debug menu in safari.  With that you can export your bookmarks to a single html file and if you ever lose them again you could just import them back in. 

To enable the debug menu simply input the following into the terminal:
Code: [Select]
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
Or, if you don't want to mess around in the terminal, get a program like TinkerTool or SafariSpeed and they'll do it with a click of the mouse. ;)

Norton Antivirus for mac = biggest scam ever.  it's like those people who just steal an ADT security sign and put it in their front yard.
