Uprade AT822 to Core Stealth Cardioids?

I am purchasing a Denecke AD-20 from BigRay for my JB3/laptop (I use both) setup. Currently, I have a stereo AT822 mic. which I like. BigRay has some Core Stealth Cardioids that he's also selling at a very fair price. I'm wondering it it's worth it to upgrade to them from my AT822. Any opinions? Seems like there are mixed opinions about Core Sound products. Also, much of what I tape: band rehearsals and small shows, is very close up, so I'm not sure if eventually upgrading to something other than cardioid would be better for my needs. A stealth ability would be nice, though. Any thoughts?

And I'd like to add... I like the AT822 because it is really portable and easy to take up and break down. If I want really good mics, I can always just patch into a really good rig. I'm not trying to have the ultimate rig, just something that sounds good and is easy to transport.

I like the AT822 better than the CSCs.  If you like the AT822, I don't see any reason to change - especially since I wouldn't consider it an upgrade.

What would be a reasonable upgrade...keeping in mind that I'd like to keep it as portable as possible and don't need to make a big jump right away.  Would AT853's be a good next step?

I've never tried the AT822, but I would expect AT853 to have similar quality.  Some advantages of AT853 are: 1) you can stealth them, 2) you can change caps.  I love my hyper caps for bad rooms, 3) you can vary the angle/spacing.  If I had the chance to trade to AT853, I might do it.  But then, I'd probably keep the 822 too because I just love having more gear.  Also keeping the 822 is good in case you lend it to someone else who doesn't know how to or doesn't bother positioning mics.
